Promo sliders

Create, update, arrange, and control promotional banners displayed throughout your SigmaCart storefront. Promo sliders help highlight campaigns, featured products, seasonal offers, categories, and important store announcements.

Open Promo Slider Management

Sign in to the SigmaCart administration panel and navigate to Promotion → Promo Slider, or open the slider-management URL directly.

Use your store domain

Replace yourdomain.com with the actual domain where your SigmaCart administration panel is installed.

Understand the slider list

The management page gives you a quick overview of every promotional slider section configured for the active storefront.

Column or action	Description
Name	The predefined slider section, such as Home Page Slider, Middle, or Bottom Slider.
Status	Shows whether the slider section is currently active and available on the storefront.
No. of slides	Displays how many promotional banners are currently assigned to the slider.
Position	Shows where the slider is rendered, such as the main area or after a selected store section.
Size	Displays the configured visual size supported by the storefront theme.
Edit	Opens the selected slider gallery so you can add, edit, reorder, or manage its banners.
Power control	Enables or disables the entire slider section without removing its configuration.

Predefined slider sections cannot be deleted

If you do not want to display an existing slider section, disable it using the power control. This preserves the theme’s required slider structure and allows the section to be enabled again later.

Slider limits can depend on the theme

The screenshot shows a maximum of three slider sections. The actual limit, position, and supported size can depend on the active SigmaCart theme and your installed version.

Manage a slider gallery

Select Edit beside a slider section to open its image gallery. The gallery manages the individual banners displayed inside that slider.

The slider gallery lets you add banners, update destination links, change visibility, remove supported slide items, and drag banners into their storefront order.

PriorityDrag to reorder Use the drag handle on each card to change the banner sequence displayed to customers.

VisibilityEnable or disable Temporarily hide an individual banner without removing the complete promo-slider section.

Add a new slide

Open the required slider. Select Edit beside the slider section where the banner should appear.
Select Add Slide. Use the button at the top of the slider gallery.
Upload the banner image. Choose an optimized image that matches the recommended dimensions of the selected slider.
Configure the destination. Add the product, category, collection, page, campaign, or external URL that should open when the banner is selected.
Set its status. Keep the slide active for immediate display or disabled while preparing the campaign.
Save and verify. Preview the storefront on desktop and mobile to confirm image quality, cropping, order, and link behavior.

Edit or update a banner

Select the edit action on an individual slide card to update its image, destination, or supported settings.

Check banner links after every update

A visually correct banner can still create a poor customer experience if its destination is missing, outdated, redirected incorrectly, or restricted to signed-in users.

Reorder slides

The storefront displays banners according to their saved gallery order.

Locate the drag handle. Use the handle displayed near the top-left of a slide card.
Drag the card. Move the banner to its preferred position in the gallery.
Drop it into place. Confirm that the cards now appear in the desired sequence.
Save if required. Some SigmaCart versions save immediately, while others may display a save action.
Refresh the storefront. Verify the updated order after clearing relevant caches if necessary.

Place the strongest promotion first

The first visible banner usually receives the most attention. Prioritize the campaign with the clearest customer value and most important destination.

Slider sections and slide items are different

The predefined slider section cannot be deleted and should be disabled when unused. Individual slide items inside its gallery may provide a delete action, depending on the installed SigmaCart version.

Banner image best practices

Follow the theme’s recommended dimensions
Keep all slides at a consistent aspect ratio
Use WebP or optimized JPEG/PNG files
Keep important content away from crop edges
Use readable contrast for banner text
Compress images before uploading
Preview on mobile and desktop
Remove expired campaign banners

Keep banners accessible

When possible, use the theme’s heading, description, and button fields for important promotional text. Text embedded only in an image can be difficult to read on small screens and inaccessible to assistive technology.

Promo-slider troubleshooting

Problem	What to check
Slider is not visible	Confirm that both the slider section and at least one slide are active, and that the active theme supports the configured position.
New order is not displayed	Save the gallery order, refresh the storefront, and clear application or frontend caches when required.
Banner looks stretched	Upload an image using the recommended size and aspect ratio for the selected slider section.
Banner is cropped on mobile	Keep important artwork near the center and preview responsive breakpoints before publishing.
Banner link does not work	Confirm the URL format, destination availability, domain, route, and whether the linked content is published.
Add Slide is unavailable	Check whether the slider or theme has reached its configured slide limit.
Slider cannot be deleted	This is expected for predefined theme slider sections. Disable the section instead.
