Managing Blog Posts

Create, publish, search, export, preview, edit, and maintain customer-facing articles from SigmaCart’s responsive Blog Posts workspace.

Open Blog Management

Sign in to the Admin Panel and open Blogs. The Blog Posts page displays existing articles and provides publishing and management actions.

Understand the Blog Posts workspace

Column or control	Purpose
Number	Displays the row position on the current paginated page.
Creator	Shows the author’s photo, name, and email address.
Title	Displays the article title, frontend link, and creation date.
Category	Shows the blog category assigned to the article.
Status	Publishes or unpublishes the post using the list switch.
Options	Provides Edit, Delete, and View on Frontend actions.
Search Title	Filters the blog list using the article title.
Export	Creates a PDF, opens a printable view, or downloads a CSV of the visible listing data.
Pagination	Moves through additional pages and reports the displayed and total record count.

Responsive administration

On smaller screens, the Blade resource converts table rows into mobile-friendly cards. Creator images are lazy-loaded and the workspace uses skeleton loading during navigation and searches.

Create a new blog post

Select Add New Blog. Use the button in the Blog Posts header to open the creation page.
Enter the article title. Use a clear headline that accurately describes the content and remains readable on mobile.
Choose the correct category. Assign the article to the most relevant blog category.
Write the article. Use the content fields provided by your installed SigmaCart version to create useful, original, and well-structured content.
Add media where supported. Upload an optimized featured image and meaningful content images when the creation form provides these fields.
Complete optional metadata. Add excerpt, slug, SEO, tags, or other fields only when they are available in your installed version.
Review the draft. Check spelling, formatting, links, category, images, and customer-facing statements.
Save the article. Return to the Blog Posts list and confirm the new record appears.
Publish when ready. Enable the status only after the frontend article has been verified.

Creation fields are version-dependent

The supplied Laravel Blade file defines the Blog Posts listing page, not the create form. Follow the exact required fields and validation messages shown by your installed SigmaCart article editor.

Write high-quality blog content

Use one clear topic per article
Write a descriptive headline
Start with a useful introduction
Use short sections and headings
Add accurate internal links
Use original, optimized images
Include meaningful image alt text
Verify claims and product details
Add a relevant call to action
Proofread before publishing

Manage publication status

Use the status switch in the Blog Posts list to control whether an article is published in supported frontend areas.

Status	Recommended use
Active	The post is approved, complete, and ready for customers to view.
Inactive	The post is a draft, requires correction, is temporarily hidden, or should no longer appear publicly.

Locate the article. Search by title if necessary.
Review the current state. Confirm you have selected the correct article.
Change the switch. Toggle the status to active or inactive.
Wait for completion. Allow the status request to finish before leaving the page.
Verify the frontend. Open the article or blog listing and confirm the intended visibility.

Search blog posts

Enter the title. Type a complete or partial article title into the search field.
Select Search. The page reloads with matching blog posts.
Review the results. Confirm the creator, category, status, and date identify the correct article.
Clear the query when finished. Remove the search text and submit again to restore the full listing.

Title-based search

The provided Blade resource labels this control “Search title,” so use meaningful, distinct article titles to make content easier to find.

Edit an existing post

Open Options. Select the three-dot action menu for the required article.
Select Edit. Open the article in the installed blog editor.
Update the required content. Correct the title, category, body, media, or available metadata.
Review link impact. If the title controls the frontend slug, changing it may affect existing links and search indexing.
Save the changes. Confirm the update completes successfully.
View on the frontend. Inspect layout, images, links, mobile readability, and publication status.

Titles may affect URLs

The listing’s frontend link is generated from a slugified article title. Treat title changes carefully because existing bookmarks, shared links, and indexed URLs may be affected.

Use either the linked blog title or Options → View on Frontend to open the public article route.

Export the blog list

Format	Behavior	Best use
PDF	Generates a PDF from the printable blog-list table using the installed export helper.	Sharing or archiving a formatted listing.
Print	Opens the browser print flow and hides page controls defined as non-printable.	Paper records or saving through the browser’s PDF printer.
CSV	Downloads the visible table text without the Status and Options columns.	Spreadsheet review and basic reporting.

Export scope

The client-side CSV export reads the currently rendered table. If the blog list is paginated, export each required page or verify whether your installed version provides a complete server-side export.

Delete a blog post

Confirm the exact article. Review its title, creator, category, and date.
Open Options and select Delete. SigmaCart opens a confirmation dialog.
Consider unpublishing first. Disable the post when it may be needed again or requires review.
Preserve important content. Copy or export material required for records before deletion.
Confirm deletion. Proceed only when the post should be removed permanently.
Review affected links. Update menus, internal links, campaigns, and external references that point to the deleted article.

Deletion can break links

A deleted blog post may leave broken internal links and search-result URLs. Prefer deactivation when the content may be restored, redirected, or updated later.

Blog troubleshooting

Problem	What to check
Article does not appear	Confirm the status is active, the correct category is available, the article saved successfully, and relevant caches are cleared.
Search returns no result	Check the title spelling, use a shorter title fragment, and clear any previous query.
Status switch does not update	Check administrator permission, network response, session or CSRF state, application logs, and cached listing data.
Frontend link returns 404	Review the article title-derived slug, publication state, route configuration, and whether the title was recently changed.
Creator image does not display	Verify the author photo path, storage URL, file availability, permissions, and supported image format.
CSV contains only some articles	Check pagination; the referenced export reads the blog rows currently rendered in the table.
Options menu is hidden	Reload the page and check Bootstrap dropdown initialization, card overflow, JavaScript errors, and responsive layout.
Article formatting looks wrong	Review pasted styles, editor output, theme CSS, unsupported markup, cached content, and mobile breakpoints.

Blog post ready

When the title, category, content, media, status, frontend route, mobile layout, and links are verified, the article is ready for customers.
